Fixing the tyrolean for the next mornings crossing. To access the start of the routes at Prosecco, One must either swing across the jungle filled chasm, or bush-whack underneath!

Searching…

Bouldern & Klettern in den Rocklands, Südafrika

We saw lots of lizzards, which made us worry about snakes, despite being assured by the locals they were all sleeping for the winter…

We tried to boulder as much as we could on the “rest days” from Trad. Skin was sometimes sore, but its hard to resist amazing peoblems such as “Time Out”.

Before this trip Caroline had barely ever bouldered. It was funny to see her catch the bug, and develop into a pebble wrestler… especially as we should have been Trad climbing.

Mixing bouldering with Trad is a great combination… especially when the boulders are a little bit highball!

Sie sagt: "I loved competition, it taught me everything, especially to give yourself a goal, plan it, and work until you reach it. But my comp days are over. I am in my second climbing life now."
